Major update for effects to 5.00 information
Please read following information before you proceed to upgrade your current version to 5.00.
Upgrading to 5.00
If you are upgrading from previous versions of the plugins, please follow these steps:
- Uninstall your existing version (the 5.00 installer should do that for you otherwise). Your presets and settings will remain.
- If you did anything nonstandard to the plugin files (moving them after installation for example), delete them now.
- Use the newest installer.
Backward compatibility issues
Despite we are trying to avoid backward compatibility issues, there were a few changes, that affect sound of the new versions and which have been implemented intentionally to improve audio quality and workflow. These are known differences:
- MMultiBandHarmonizer vocoder modes now sound much better, minimize phasing issues and stereo coherency.
- MMultiBandVibrato and MVibrato didn't implement range parameter the same on different sampling rates. This has been fixed. There shall be no changes in 44100 Hz, on different sampling rates you will need to re-adjust the range parameter.
- Previous MAnalyzer settings are now useless because of the new analysis engine. This also partially applies to analysis settings of MAutoEqualizer. There are no changes to output audio however.
- MDynamicsSideChain has been removed as it is the same as MDynamics. If you need it, please use the previous version (can be provided on demand).
