A multiband version MTurboCompMB is now included!
Have you ever thought what would happen if you'd somehow create a multiband setup with different vintage compressors on each band? Probably not, because that would be super-expensive. But now it is a few clicks away!
And how about processing transients with one vintage compressor and the rest of the signal with another one? Well, that's also possible and that's far from the end...
Compression reinvented for easier and faster workflow
MTurboComp obviously speeds up the workflow tremendously by providing access to so many classic compressors in a single click. But it doesn't stop there. Compressors are one of the most overused tools of any audio engineer, yet they are still based on designs and controls decades old, making them so hard to use. How about controlling the amount of compression? Such a basic task, yet almost impossible without changing output level making any decisions almost impossible.
So we took the liberty to set a new standard. All of the compressors MTurboComp emulates have almost the same GUI, so that you always know what to do. They do have the controls the originals did, but they have far more than that: Compression to control amount of compression with minimum changes to output level, Saturation to get additional character, Dry/wet control for parallel compression, and finall, side-chain input, detector high-pass, low-pass and a peak filters, so that you can easily tune the compressor to your audio material. The classic Melda goodies such as automatic gain compensation, safety limiter, mid/side processing and A-H snapshots are included of course.
Emulations designed by machine learning
Developers usually simulate the vintage compressors by analyzing the circuits and test signals. That way it takes a long time to emulate a single compressor and it is prone to all kinds of errors. We took a very different approach - we designed a dynamics processor so versatile, that it could simulate almost anything. And we definitely didn't dare to set it up manually afterwards - we let the computers do that for us!
It took the computers a long time and didn't spare us days of listening tests and manual work, but it still got us to a great emulation of more than a dozen classic compressors in a record time :). They don't sound exactly the same, after all not even the originals don't sound exactly the same to one another. But maybe MTurboComp sounds better then the originals. Just try and listen for yourself.
Design your own super-compressor!
Well, perhaps you don't like something about the vintage tools. MTurboComp lets you change them. Or even better, it lets you invent new dynamics processors. With 4 level detectors running in parallel, each following the input or side-chain and having all kinds of settings and transformation curves, a fully featured dynamic equalizer and 2 saturators you can do a lot... almost anything if you count in the modulators. So how about listening to both the input and the side-chain at the same time? Or following different parts of the spectrum with different settings? Perhaps you can come up with much better ideas!

Dual user interface
MTurboComp offers a mind-boggling number of features and options. But thanks to our dual GUI system they are accessible to both beginners and professionals
Easy Screen: The easy screen shows you only the most relevant controls, this makes it fast, easy to use and intuitive. The controls are a set of macros that have been fine-tuned by professionals so you can quickly achieve great results.
But the easy screen is not just for beginners, you can create your own and recall them later to speed up your workflow.
Edit Screen: The edit screen gives you deep access to all of the plugin's parameters. Advanced users will love the amount of control and flexibility our plugins provide.
Unique visualisation engine with classic meters and time graphs
Your ears should always be the main tool, but they are not the only way to judge your audio. Visual aids can be incredibly useful for a variety of reasons. Melda's comprehensive metering system is extremely flexible and delivers you accurate information when you need it. From classic meters to time-based graphs, you will see important visual feedback including; Input, Output, Stereo width, Loudness, Waveforms, Bands, Gain reduction and Sidechain, and some plugin dependent meters.
Unique generalized dynamic detector
The dynamic detector using in MTurboComp has no match on the market. It features manual and 5 automatic release modes with adjustable limits and speed, true RMS and true peak hold features, look-ahead and more.
It also provides completely unique features, such as adjustable attack & release shapes, providing unique analog gear simulation capabilities, spectral smoothing to minimize distortion levels below imaginable level, psychoacoustic prefiltering, which lets you compress the signal based on human hearing simulation instead of scientific levels. There is no audio material in the world the plugin cannot adjust to.
Parallel compression using dry/wet control
Parallel compression has never been easier. And not just compression for that matter. Engineers used to simulate this concept using complicated routing. With MTurboComp you can just use the dry/wet control. It is really that simple.
Unique temporary gain feature
Temporary gain provides an excellent way to control the amount of compression while keeping the output level stable. Based on tricks well known by top producers MTurboComp makes the workflow quicker than ever before.
MTurboComp provides 8 fully-featured modulators which can control any set of parameters including other modulators. Each modulator works as an LFO, level follower, midi/audio triggered ADSR enveloper, randomizer or pitch detector, or even a combination and can listen to the plugin\'s side-chain.
You can make the sound move in time, be less static and more interesting. You can make various parameters depend on the input (or the sidechain) level or even listen to the input pitch.
Check this video tutorial for information about modulators.
MTurboComp lets you control multiple parameters using a single so-called multiparameter. This may not only come handy for automation for example, but the multiparameters are very smart units and you can use them to smartly morph between banks of settings for example. All in the name of creativity!
Check this video tutorial for information about multiparameters.
M/S, single channel, up to 8 channels surround processing...
MTurboComp can handle not only mono and stereo signals, but also mid/side encoding for stereo field processing, separate left & right channels, separate mid or side signal and up to 8 channels of surround audio. It is perfect for audio production for music, movies, games...
Check this video tutorial for more information about channels modes and mid/side processing.
Automatic gain compensation (AGC)
Most plugins change loudness of the output audio, which makes browsing presets inconvenient, not mentioning randomization. MTurboComp includes automatic gain compensation, which quickly adapts to current settings and ensures the output sounds as loud as the input. This even protects you from thinking that something sounds better in cases it is just louder.
Some plugins can intensely increase gain when exposed to specific audio materials. MTurboComp provides a safety brickwall limiter, which ensures the output stays below 0dB and prevents your equipment and your ears from potential danger automatically.
Adjustable up-sampling 1x-16x
Digital audio provides very superior audio quality compared to ancient analog gear, but there are problems too. The main problem is the aliasing, which may be noticeable, when using nonlinear processes such as compression or saturation. MTurboComp includes both minimum-phase and high-quality linear-phase upsampling algorithms, which avoids the aliasing.
Check this video tutorial for information about aliasing.
MIDI controllers with MIDI learn
MTurboComp contains a powerful MIDI processor, which listen to MIDI controllers and MIDI keyboard and control any parameters realtime.
Check this video tutorial for information about MIDI.
64-bit processing and an unlimited sampling rate
MTurboComp provides the maximum audio quality you can get. It uses 64-bit audio processing and can handle any sampling rate. It does not make much sense to go over 192kHz, but if you think it is a good idea, the plugin can do that.
Extremely fast, optimized for newest AVX2 and AVX512 capable processors
Computers are now extremely fast, but the algorithms are more complex and projects bigger, so we still need to use the processing power with care. MTurboComp uses the fastest algorithms, takes advantage of the newest processor capabilities, lets your GPU handle the graphics, and shares the resources with other MeldaProduction plugins. The plugin is among the fastest on the market, yet it provides the best possible audio quality.
Global preset management and online preset exchange
MTurboComp presets are carefully stored in a system database and you can quickly access them from any project in any host. The plugin can automatically share your presets and download presets of other users from our servers. We are building a community and you can be a part of it!
Compare multiple settings
A/B comparison is a widely used method to objectively hear the changes you are making to your audio and help you to make better decisions, non destructively.
A to H Switching: Melda has taken this to the next level. Have up to 8 instances of the plugin, copy/paste the A to H slots and freely switch between them.
A to D Morphing: You can also morph between the first 4 slots with an X-Y pad. Not sure which preset to choose? You could load 4 and find the perfect blend of all of them. Not sure if A or B sounds better? You might prefer an interpolated state somewhere between the two.
Supports VST, VST3, AU and AAX interfaces on Windows (both 32-bit and 64-bit) & Mac (64-bit only)
MTurboComp supports all major hosts on both platforms. Check system requirements for information about compatibility and installation.
