Introudcing MSymphonia: Bells & Mallets!
We’ve been working quietly behind the scenes for months, and today we’re excited to finally share the very first release in our brand-new MSymphonia orchestral series: MSymphonia: Bells & Mallets!
To build this collection, we packed up our gear and spent weeks in a studio in Budapest recording the acclaimed Budapest Symphonic Orchestra. We sampled every single note of seven classic melodic percussion instruments across all dynamic expressions. The result is a massive 10GB library designed to bring genuine symphonic weight and realistic spatial depth straight into your DAW.
What's Inside the Collection?
We wanted to give you a complete, highly flexible suite of melodic percussion instruments right out of the box:
Celesta: A sweet, keyboard-style instrument with controls for hammer hardness, body resonance, and high-end shimmer.
Crotales: Bright antique cymbals with a dedicated Focus control to shape transients and cut through dense mixes.
Glockenspiel: Classic orchestral bell tones with customizable strike hardness and crisp attack definition.
Marimba: Organic, warm wooden bars featuring per-voice decay resonance and custom mallet character profiles.
Tubular Bells: Massive church-style bells built for epic, cinematic scale and weight.
Vibraphone: Metallic keys featuring a fully motorised tremolo engine, attack ducking, and flexible pedal behaviour.
Xylophone: Highly percussive, woody keys offering bright, dry transients perfect for fast, agile runs.
Total Spatial Control and Advanced Mixing
We recorded each instrument using a modern 4-channel microphone setup. Inside the plugin, you'll find our unified Mixer section, allowing you to seamlessly balance the Close, Decca, Mid, and Outrigger microphone signals. We’ve also included a Distance slider for fine time alignment between channels, quick Stage Depth presets (from Intimate to Cinematic), and Roll Keys to easily perform realistic, alternating-hand repetitions on your keyboard.
To top it all off, we added a built-in 3-band EQ and an algorithmic reverb module so you can easily place your instruments inside vast concert halls.
This is Just the Beginning
Bells & Mallets is only the first step for the MSymphonia ecosystem. We’re already hard at work on upcoming releases in the series—including comprehensive symphonic Strings and Brass libraries—to give you a complete orchestral palette powered by MSoundFactory.
