Jake Morelli

Hat wearing music producer, guitar player and much more.

Jake Morelli

Jake Morelli has been creating music his entire life. He’s a third-generation professional musician who learned from his father and grandfather (both drummers). At four years old, his dad would bring him into local NY establishments to play guitar and sing the blues, while they passed around a cowboy hat to earn $ for video games.

Another one of his music mentors was his godfather Howie Blauvelt, who played bass and sang with Billy Joel and the Hassels, as well as Ram Jam (“Black Betty”). Growing up, Morelli modeled his business acumen after his uncle Bob Morelli, current president of RED Distribution (Sony). He’s taken these formative influences and become a producer, musical director, educator, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, international performer, and engineer.

Morelli has worn many hats over the years such as MD, to studio ace, as well as playing guitar for artists such as Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Hudson, NEYO, Grace Potter, Hunter Hayes, Roberta Flack, Donn T, Queen Latifah, The Jonas Brothers, Esperanza Spalding, The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Bruno Mars, Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls), Rodney Holmes (Santana), K’Naan, Wes Morgan, & Musiq Soulchild to name a few. He has performed live on countless radio stations, as well as NBC (Jimmy Kimmel), ABC (Regis & Kelly), FOX, TBN, ESPN, MTV, and VH1.

Saving the best for last, he is also the Producer/Musical Director of his wife Donn T.

While not on the road, Jake is busy around the clock in his studio, producing music for TV/Film, various artists, as well as being a part of the worship team at Yesha Ministries in South Philadelphia.

"Unlike many other plugin manufacturers, MeldaProduction is embracing the next generation of engineers, mixers, producers, and artists. This forward-thinking approach is reflected in the design and build of their products: they allow the novice instant gratification through presets and the experienced producer unmatched control under the hood."
